12/19/25 - midiOS 2.0.3 launched with new macOS Bridge App.

Introducing the new macOS Bridge App

midiOS 2.0.3 is now available, featuring the brand-new midiOS macOS Bridge App for deeper, more reliable integration with Ableton Live.

The Bridge App enables fast, bi-directional communication between your iPhone and your DAW, unlocking full clip launching, LED feedback, track color sync, and real-time performance state updates — all with low latency and rock-solid stability.

The Bridge App works over local Wi-Fi or a direct iPhone-to-macOS hotspot connection, allowing you to use midiOS without an external network — ideal for stage, studio, or mobile setups.

This release focuses on workflow clarity, performance reliability, and setup transparency, laying the foundation for future expansions while keeping the experience simple and musical.

What’s new in 2.0.3:

  • New macOS Bridge App for Ableton Live

  • Support for local Wi-Fi and direct iPhone-to-macOS hotspot connections

  • Improved MIDI routing stability

  • Clearer setup flow and documentation

  • Minor UI and performance refinements

midiOS is currently in soft launch and stable on macOS 15.7.2, iOS 26.x, and Ableton Live 11.3.43 (Ableton is not yet compatible with macOS 26 Tahoe)
